Candidates with 435 or more CRS points received a Canada PR invitation to immigrate to Canada in the Express entry draw held on 6 September 2017. A total of 2, 772 applicants received an Invitation to apply in this round for permanent residence in Canada. This takes the total number of Canada PR invitation issued in 2017 to 66, 549. It is far more than the total numbers of Canada PR invitation issued in 2016.
Candidates who have received the Canada PR invitation have 3 months to submit the complete application for the Canada PR. This includes the supporting documents as well, as quoted by the CIC News. Their applications are planned to be processed by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada within 6 months.
The 435 CRS points threshold for the 6 September draw is largely in conformity with the draws that have been held recently. The average thresholds for CRS scores have been close to mid-430s in the recent draws. In early summer and after changes were implemented to CRS in the first half of June, CRS thresholds were a bit high at 440, 441, and 449. This was for the first three draws held immediately after the changes were implemented.
It can also be observed that the figures of ITAs that have been offered have decreased slightly. When IRCC commences offering more number of ITAs for Canada PR to applicants the CRS thresholds could again decrease.
Not all individuals are eligible to enter the Canada Express entry pool. The applicants must first be qualified to via any of the federal economic immigration program of Canada: the Federal Skilled Trades Class, the Canadian Experience Class, or Federal Skilled Worker Class.
