There has been a growing demand among the American college students for overseas study either for a semester or for the entirety of their college education.

The students seeking college credit has risen to 4% from 1.5% of all US students in 2016. They are on the urge to save their dollars apart from broadening their horizons. In the United States, public universities are charging an exorbitant fee from the students.

In-State students have to pay $20,000 for one year at public University and out-of-students have to pay $35,000 or more for the same year. With the state reducing the allocation of funds to aided colleges, tuition fee in public universities in states like Arizona has reached astronomical heights.

Due to these problems, most of these young students are trying for a loan to get their prized degrees. In the US, presently 44 million have taken a student loan $1.4 trillion. The loan cannot be excused by bankruptcy or other forms of debt.

The US Bureau of Labour Statistics presents a pathetic picture of American graduates. Currently, 2, 84,000 graduates and 30,000 postgraduates were working below or at minimum wage.

On the other hand, colleges across the EU are charging a nominal fee in comparison to the US and UK.

In Denmark and Germany, students attend public university without any tuition fee. In Denmark, rental costs are 15% lower than that in the United States.

In Germany, Universities offer several programs in English and extend a warm welcome to American Students. Sweden offers public higher education without tuition fee and offers over 300 English-language programs to the American students.

Slovenia offers 150 English-language programs and charges nominal registration fee and in Czech Republic charges for tuition fee are excluded if course is taken in the Czech language.

But the living expenses in these countries depict a different picture.

Living expenses in the United States vary depending on the academic study. For instance, the cost of living in Denver and Colorado varies from $1,00to $2,500 whereas, in Miami and Florida, it is between $1,500 and $3,000 a month.

Living expenses in the UK also vary similarly to the US. Study at the University of Liverpool costs between £4, 60 and £5.80 per month for expenses (between $600 and $765 US).

A study in Paris costs between €1,200 and €1,800 per month, including housing. Living cost in Germany varies between €500 and €800 per month even in the big cities.

Study in Sweden will cost SEK 8,000 (around €850 or $1,000 per month for an average student.
