The Working Holiday visa (Subclass 417 visa) is for young nationals (18-30 years old) or (18-35 years for some countries) and allows young people to travel, work, and study in Australia for up to 12 months. It is a popular way for young nationals to experience Australia’s culture and gain work experience. Australia also has a Subclass 462 visa within the Working Holiday Maker Program, an alternate Working Holiday visa for those not eligible for a Subclass 417 visa.
A Working Holiday visa allows an applicant three times: First, second, and third, through which an applicant can gain Australian work experience for 3 years individually.
