When students plan to study abroad they will be looking for scholarship options as well, fortunately, students appearing for the SAT exam are eligible for a scholarship if they get a good score. So, what is a good score in the SAT to get a scholarship?

Ideally, you should aim for a score between 1200 to 1600 if you want to get some merit-based scholarships to study abroad. However different schools have different score requirements to gain a scholarship. You can know the scholarship requirements based on the colleges in your list.

To  help you, the table below has a list of colleges and the scholarship amount that they provide:

As we said earlier the amount of scholarship varies between institutes, but the table gives a fair idea of the average amount of scholarship offered by public and private universities in the US.

Apart from this, you can also try for scholarships that are not linked to any institution and some of them do not just look at your SAT score for awarding the scholarship. But your focus should be on getting a good SAT score so that you can then concentrate on getting a scholarship.
