The Malaysia digital nomad visa, introduced in October 2022, is also known as the DE Rantau Nomad Pass. The nomad visa allows digital nomads to reside and work remotely in Malaysia for a maximum of one year with a chance of renewing it for another year. Digital nomads can relocate and live in Malaysia while working remotely for a company abroad. Freelancers, remote workers, or self-employed contractors with a minimum annual income of $24,000 can apply for the Malaysia Digital nomad visa. Individuals who fulfill the eligibility requirements must pay RM1000 or $225 to apply for the nomad visa. The DE Rantau Nomad Pass is usually processed within 4-5 working days.
