BENGALURU: VFS Global today announced the launch of a visa application center for Vietnam in Bengaluru.

The Centre will provide easy access to Indian applicants and travel agents applying for visas to Vietnam from Karnataka, VFS said.

In March this year, VFS Global launched visa application centres for Vietnam in Chennai and Hyderabad for applicants from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana. Karnataka is the fourth southern state.

Announcing the introduction of the service, Tran Quang Tuyen, Minister - Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of the SR of Vietnam to India, said, "Vietnam and India share a huge potential in tourism, trade and investment along with the well-established and traditional friendship."

Providing easier access to visa application, with minor cost and less consuming time is one of the priorities of the Embassy in 2015, he said, according to a VFS release.

This year, Vietnam visa facilitation centres have been established in several states such as West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab and Haryana, he said.

Vinay Malhotra, COO - South Asia, VFS Global, said the opening of more such facilities in the southern states serves the needs of the growing travel trade from this region and "we will continue to work together to deliver professional end-to-end services for our clients."
