Applicants for United States immigrant visas will have to follow new procedures starting Jan. 5, 2015, the US Embassy in Manila said.
Starting Jan. 5, St. Luke’s Medical Center Extension Clinic will release medical exam results directly to applicants unless instructed otherwise by the panel physician.
"Immigrant visa applicants are required to bring the sealed medical exam report to their scheduled interview at the U.S. Embassy Manila. Tampered pouches will not be accepted in the interview and applicants will be instructed to return the pouch to SLMCEC for reseal," it said.
Applicants are also required to present individual DS-260 confirmation page during the visa interview.
The embassy said applicants without the necessary documentation will encounter "significant delays in the visa application process." —Joel Locsin/KBK, GMA News
