University of Limerick offers Scholarships for Indian Students

The University of Limerick (UL) offers a wide range of scholarships for international students that are keen on study abroad options in Ireland.

There are various Indian Student Scholarships to choose from, both at the Undergraduate as well as the Postgraduate levels.

Situated along the Shannon River, the University of Limerick is to be found on the west coast of Ireland.

With unspoiled picturesque locales on one hand, and state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities on the other, there is indeed much that UL has to offer an international student.

More than 2,000 international students a year are included in the close to 12,000 student strength at UL.

The University of Limerick has various scholarships available for Indian students for 2020/2021 academic year.

The scholarships are to be based on the academic merit of the students and will lead to a reduction in tuition fees.

Do keep in mind that students are not expected to apply for the scholarships as such.

Indian students will be automatically considered for scholarship at the time of applying for any of the programs given below –

What are the scholarships available for Indian students?

[I] UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS

  1. Faculty of Education and Health Science Scholarships – the EHS Bachelor of Science in Nursing Scholarship for non- EU international undergraduate students.

Worth:  €1,500

Available to: all

  1. Faculty of Science and Engineering Scholarships

Worth:  €1,500 per year

Available to: all

  1. Kemmy Business School Scholarship for Indians – also known as the “Jim Kemmy India Scholarship” for Indian students at the undergraduate level.

Worth: about €3,423 (students be required to pay only €8,000 tuition fees a year). For all the 4 years of the Degree program, provided though that the progressions rates are achieved.

Available to: ONLY (1) Indian students, and for (2) programmes in the Kemmy Business School. Do keep in mind that interdisciplinary programmes are not considered for this scholarship.

Applications are being invited for the programmes –

  • Bachelor of Arts in International Business [Course Code: LM056]
  • Bachelor of Business Studies [Course Code: LM050]

Requirements that Indian students should fulfill in order to be considered for the scholarship –

  • Average 75% or above in Standard X and Standard XII (including Math and English)
  • Meet the English language threshold
  1. Kemmy Business School Scholarship for all. Kemmy Business School Scholarships also include an International (non-EU) merit-based scholarship –

Worth:  €1,500 per year

Available to: all

  1. Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science Scholarships – an International (non-EU) merit-based scholarship.

Worth:  €1,500 per year

Available to: all

[II] POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS

  1. Faculty of Education and Health Science Scholarships – EHS MSc in Nursing Scholarship for non-EU international postgraduate students.

Worth:  €3,000

Available to: all

  1. Faculty of Education and Health Science Scholarships (for specific EHS programmes). This scholarship is ONLY available for the following –
  • MA in Psychology
  • MSc in Sports Exercise & Performance
  • MSC in Sports Performance
  • MSC in Psychological Science

Worth: €1,500 per year

  1. Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science Scholarships. International (non-EU) merit-based scholarship.

Worth: €2,000 per year

Available to: all

  1. Faculty of Science and Engineering India Scholarships

Worth: either €2,000 or €4,000 as per grades

  1. Kemmy Business School India Scholarships.

Worth: either €1,500 or €4,000 as per grades

The University of Limerick’s graduate employment rate is about 15% more than the national average. Reason behind UL graduates being more employable is that in a year UL places 2,000+ students, in paid or semi-paid work placements.

UL is credited with having pioneered the Cooperative Education concept in Ireland.

If you are looking at study abroad options in Ireland, why not give University of Limerick a thought. With attractive Indian Student Scholarships available, there is more the reason to seriously consider UL.

However, do keep in mind that you do not have to apply yourself to the scholarships above-mentioned. When you apply to any of the courses as discussed earlier in this article, you will automatically be considered for the scholarship.
