The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023 has revealed its list of best universities worldwide. This year’s rankings included 1799 universities from 104 different regions. The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023 has performed analysis on more than 121 million citations from over 15.5 million research publications. It has also conducted a survey on 40,000 scholars from across the globe.
The rankings are based on a few performance indicators that assess the performance of an institution based on international outlook, research, knowledge transfer, and teaching. In this article, we have mentioned the world's top universities and the country-wise rankings.

The Times Rankings has named the United Kingdom's University of Oxford as the world's best university. The university has consecutively held the first position for the last seven years. Harvard University has retained its position as the World's Second Best University. The University of Cambridge steps up to joint third this year compared to joint fifth last year. There are many new entrants into the list, including Yale University.

The United States of America has the largest share in the list of 1799 universities at 179 universities. Harvard University secured the topmost rank in the country and has retained its position from last year.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology topped the list of universities for producing the most employable graduates and ranked fifth based on making a research impact.

The total share of Canada's universities in the list is 31. The University of Toronto is a new entrant this year and topped the list of best universities in Canada with 18th rank, followed by the University of British Columbia and McGill University with ranks 40 and 46, respectively.
