Bangalore: Falmouth University, the Number 1 Creative Arts University in the United Kingdom, is pleased to announce three new scholarships available to students from India wishing to study for a degree in the UK. They offer courses in all areas of creative art and design including film, graphic design, fashion design, interior design, product design, photography, writing and performance.
The awards worth £7,500 (INR 7, 70,000 approx.) each are jointly funded by Falmouth and the British Council’s GREAT scheme. The scholarships are designed to encourage cultural collaboration between the UK and overseas.
Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Stuart Westhead, Head of the International Office, Falmouth University commented, “At Falmouth we appreciate the importance of creating a rich and diverse university experience. Our international scholarships recognise outstanding students that we believe will make a significant contribution to the academic and social community at Falmouth, and so we are delighted to confirm these three new scholarships.”
The scholarships are available to students beginning their undergraduate degree in autumn 2015. Interested students can apply by writing a 500 word statement explaining how they hope to use their study at Falmouth to influence their work, practice and future ambitions.
Students, who are awarded a scholarship, can receive it in the form of a tuition fee reduction or payment by cheque. Scholarship payments will be made upon enrolment for a Falmouth University course commencing academic year 2015 -16.
