The International Skilled Worker category is for skilled workers who want to work and live in Saskatchewan. This category enables the SINP to nominate individuals with post-secondary education and high skilled work experience that have the education, experience, language ability and other factors to help them to successfully establish and integrate into Saskatchewan’s labour market and communities.
This province will also be participating under “Express Entry Program” and the criteria for the new Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category will be announced on January 2, 2015. The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program will begin accepting applications under the Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category in early 2015.
The Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category will enable the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program to nominate candidates through the federal Express Entry system. Like the International Skilled Worker Category, the Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category will be for skilled workers.
Prospective immigrants who have been accepted into the federal Express Entry pool can apply to the Saskatchewan Express Entry category. Persons nominated by the SINP will receive additional points in the federal ranking system, resulting in an invitation to apply for permanent residency, provided federal processing targets have not been met.
