No, a job offer is not required to apply for a Subclass 417 visa. This visa allows an applicant to travel and work in the country. Applicants do not need a job or employment offer before entering Australia on a Subclass 417 visa, as they can look for work in the country with the Subclass 417 visa.

Young nationals aged between 18 and 30 (18 -35 years) from eligible countries can apply for a Subclass 417 visa to work, study, or travel in the country for 12 months. An applicant can reside in the country with this visa for 3 years but with three different visas. Subclass 417 visas can be applied three times as first, second, and third Working Holiday Visas. Applicants who want to work with a Subclass 417 visa must work in specified industries that are facing labor shortages.

*Note: Indians are not eligible for a Subclass 417 visa (Working Holiday visa); instead, they can apply for a Subclass 462 visa (Work and Holiday visa) as both come under the Working Holiday Maker Program.
