The Passport Index is a list that ranks the world's most powerful passports based on the number of countries that their holders can travel to without a visa. According to this index, the Irish passport ranks fifth, allowing holders to travel to 191 countries without a visa.
Ireland passport holders can travel to 143 countries without a visa.

According to the Henley & Partners Index List for 2024, passports from Finland, Italy, Spain, South Korea, Germany, France, and Singapore are considered the most powerful passports. Holders of these passports can travel to at least 194 countries without a visa.
