OTTAWA — Canada is hoping to welcome more immigrants next year. The government will release its immigration plan for 2015 today, and it's expected to show an increase in overall numbers. The main focus will be on accepting more economic immigrants, which will make up 65 per cent of the total, up two per cent from last year. Among the increases will be more spots available in a program designed to get students and temporary foreign workers to permanently settle in Canada. © Provided by thecanadianpress.com New data is also expected Friday on the state of the temporary foreign worker program in the wake of program overhauls. Last year, the government sought to welcome between 240,000 and 260,000 people to Canada. http://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/immigration-to-canada-set-to-rise-next-year/ar-BBcc675
