Skilled Worker Visa: This is the first and most common type of work visa in Portugal. It is a category for professionals with qualifications in medicine, science, engineering, etc. The visa type is generally granted for one year and can be extended up to five years.

 

Independent Work Visa: An independent work visa or self-employed visa is for foreign nationals who work as freelancers in services or businesses. This visa, also known as a Digital nomad, is valid for one year.

 

Highly Qualified Work Visa: This visa category is for highly qualified candidates with skills in business, scientific research, and other fields that will show their extraordinary talents. This visa is valid for one-year.

 

Teaching Work Visa: This work visa is for candidates who have been offered a teaching job at an educational institution, research organization, etc., in Portugal.

 

Tech Visa: This visa category is for candidates with proper knowledge of innovation and technology. A Portuguese company must recruit applicants for this category, which is valid for two years.
