Bali is known to be one of the most popular tourist destinations and is now adapting digitalization to make it more convenient for digital nomads from around the world. Bali offers two types of digital nomad visas; one provides 60 days, while the other comes with a five-year extension period. A Bali digital nomad visa, also called the Indonesia digital nomad visa, allows remote workers to reside in the country for a specific period while giving them access to the nomad community in the region. The digital nomad visa in Bali costs around $105 – US$205 with a 1-2 weeks processing time.

Types of Bali Digital Nomad Visa

Here are the two main digital nomad visas offered by Bali:

B211a Visa: The 30-60 Day Option

The B211a visa is one of the most accessible options for digital nomads looking for an extended stay in the country for six months or less. Remote workers, freelancers, entrepreneurs with a business abroad, and visitors are eligible to apply for this visa. The B211a visa initially allows the digital nomad to live in the country for up to 30-60 days, with the possibility of extending for a maximum of 180 days.

Note: You must stay in the country throughout the duration of the visa. Those who exit the country during this time will have their validity renounced.

E33G Remote Worker Visa — KITAS

The E33G Remote worker visa is also known as the second home or Indonesia remote worker visa. The visa is best for digital nomads and remote workers and requires you to be employed outside by a foreign company. With an E33G visa, digital nomads can work remotely while residing in the country without paying government taxes. This type of single-entry visa allows you to stay in Bali for a maximum of 12 months with many other benefits.
