The Australian Transit Visa (Subclass 771) can be obtained for free, as there is no application fee. Indian citizens must apply for an Australian Transit Visa to transit through Australia to their destination country. You can stay at the airport for a maximum of 72 hours while waiting for your next connecting flight. However, you cannot leave the Airport Transit Zone on a Subclass 771 visa. The visa does not allow multiple entries and is valid for 72 hours.
