Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has issued 3594 Invitations to Apply (ITA's) to date through 3 rounds of invitations for permanent residence under the Canadian Express Entry Immigration since January 31, 2015.
The ITA's has been sent to skilled workers from the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, Canadian Experience Class and Provincial Nominee Program. The scores for applicants were from applicants scoring at least 735 points under the Comprehensive Ranking Score.
During the first series of draws, CIC has chosen the highest core candidates with the purposes of creating a high standard and ensuring that Express Entry Immigration system would bring into Canada candidates who with a high likelihood of integrating fully and quickly into the Canadian labor market.
Under Express Entry, invited applicants across many occupations had submitted their profiles to an Express Entry Pool and to the Canada Job Bank. The department also encouraged Canadian employers to review candidate profiles with a view of locating suitable candidates to provide job offers.
Finally, CIC will consider applicants having approved job offers or those selected by a province or with Provincial Nomination to the top of the list for Canadian Permanent Residence through the Express Entry Program.
