Denmark far from being a preferred destination for highly-skilled workers

Highly-skilled workers are continuing to forgo Denmark when choosing a place to work, according to a new survey from the Boston Consulting Group.

The survey showed that Denmark was ranked the 27th most attractive destination to work, while neighbours Sweden and Germany are in the top ten. The US, the UK and Canada topped the list.

“We need to become better at understanding what attracts foreigners and how to market ourselves as a place to work,” Mai-Britt Poulsen, a partner at Boston Consulting Group in Denmark, told Berlingske newspaper.

“We should be concerned that countries like Sweden are so far up the list from us.”
