Under its FCR (Foreign Credential Recognition) Program, Canada commits $10 million to help newcomers find well-paying jobs. The FCR Program targets newcomers in Canada who are internationally trained.

The committed budget aims to finance 15 projects for a maximum of $800,000 each. These projects have been planned to provide employment support to high-skilled newcomers in Canada. The budget will also help to facilitate the FCR program.

The Canadian Govt. has announced that it is currently seeking concepts from various stakeholders. These stakeholders are responsible for collaborating with the Govt. to help experienced and skilled newcomers to integrate into the Canadian workforce.

Patty Hajdu, Canadian Minister for Employment, has said the program will help new immigrants get their overseas credentials recognized. This will help them join the Canadian workforce faster and also help them become successful in Canada.

Stakeholders in Canada who are engaged in overseas credential recognition have been called for concepts. Applicants who are chosen will then need to submit a complete project proposal.

The “Call for Concepts” program will help finance 15 projects which will help newcomers find jobs in Canada.

Interested candidates are advised to seek the guidance of a Canada Immigration Consultant for more information on these 15 projects.

Along with Canada’s stakeholders, the FCR Program works with the following:

  • Provincial and Territorial Governments
  • Regulatory bodies
  • Non-profit organizations
  • Post-secondary educational institutions
  • Employers

All of the above help evaluate the programs designed to assess and recognize international professionals credentials. This will help new immigrants in Canada find suitable work faster, as quoted by Menafn.
