Yes, Australia Partner Visa holders can study in Australia without restrictions or limitations. Australia offers two types of partner visas- Subclass 820 (Temporary or Provisional Partner) Visa and Subclass 801 (Permanent Partner) visa. Australia Partner visas are permanent resident visas allowing you to enjoy all benefits that are offered to Australia PRs. Therefore, you can study in Australia while being on an Australia Partner Visa. However, certain conditions may be applicable depending on the stage of the visa process you are in.

Study Rights on Australia Partner Visa

While waiting for your Partner Visa (Subclass 820/801), you might be issued a bridging visa that allows you to stay in Australia as a legal resident. Bridging visas may come with study rights. However, international student fees may still apply.

Once your temporary partner visa (Subclass 820 or 309) is issued, you can study in Australia without any limitations. However, Subclass 820 or 309 visa holders are not eligible for domestic student benefits like government-funded loans (e.g., HECS-HELP).
