Portugal is one of the top Digital nomad visas with an initial validity period of two years. The Portugal digital nomad visa can later be renewed for an additional three years. To qualify for citizenship, the digital nomad must have resided in Portugal for five continuous years. To complete the citizenship process, one must clear certain civic and language tests.

The Mexico digital nomad visa, also known as the temporary residence visa comes with validity of 6 months to 4 years, after which qualifying individuals can apply for permanent residency. To be eligible for citizenship, the visa holder must have resided in Mexico for five continuous years along with being a regular tax payer. They must also clear a language and history test to complete the citizenship process.

The Norway Digital Nomad visa, or the self-employment visa, comes with a validity of two years, allowing visa holders to apply for permanent residency after completing three years in the country. Individuals must have resided in Norway for at least 8 out of 11 years to qualify for citizenship. For those who present, proof of sufficient income can have this time reduced to six out of 10 years. Clearing the language tests is required to complete the citizenship process.

Armenia grants permanent residency to freelancers and entrepreneurs who register a freelance business in the country. The Digital nomad, along with the family, can apply for permanent residency in Armenia with no minimum stay requirements. Digital nomads with at least three years of permanent residency status in Armenia can qualify for citizenship, provided they fulfill the other criteria.
Greece provides two Digital nomad visa options, one valid for 12 months and a two-year residence permit that can be renewed. Digital Nomads who have lived in Greece continuously for 12 years can qualify for citizenship. There will be a language test and civics exam to complete the naturalization process and become a Greek citizen.
The Latvia Digital nomad visa offers an amazing pathway for third country nationals to acquire permanent residency and EU citizenship. Digital nomad can apply for permanent residency after living in the country for a minimum of two years. With a minimum income requirement of €3,344 per month, visa holders must either have a self-employed business that is well-established in any of the OECD countries or be employed by a company. Individuals who have resided in Latvia for a minimum of five years can qualify for citizenship.
