Indian nationals emerged as the second-largest group to receive Schengen visas from the Netherlands in 2024, with a total of 75,727 approvals. This represents an 83.2% approval rate, placing India just behind Turkey in the overall rankings.
While this is a strong indication of growing interest and connectivity between India and the Netherlands, it’s important to note that Indian applicants also faced the highest number of rejections. This highlights the need for accurate documentation, clear travel intent, and strict adherence to visa requirements.
With travel to Europe continuing to rise post-pandemic, these numbers underscore both the opportunity and the importance of careful planning for Indian travellers aiming to visit the Netherlands or the wider Schengen area.
