Malaysian Minister of Tourism, Mr. Mohammed Nazri Abdul Aziz, has proposed some changes to the visa policy related to the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) states. He suggested that the visa requirements for OIC states should be cancelled, for easy moment between countries for business and tourism purpose.
Speaking at the 3rd World Islamic Tourism Conference held in Kuala Lumpur, the minister said that countries like Australia, China, New Zealand, and Japan have successfully established Islamic Tourism in their countries by building mosques and by offering Halal food at tourist destinations to attract Muslim tourists from all over.
Adding further, the minister said, that these countries have managed to do it with their strong economy and good security measures. And therefore, have proposed that all OIC states should come together, drop visa requirements and encourage tourism in the region.
Malaysia is one of the most sought after tourist destination in the world and the best for Islamic tourism.
