Israel has expanded B-1 work visas pool for applicants with two years of the study announced Ministry of Interior in Israel. This will be the pathway for overseas experts possessing academic credentials for professionals with 2 years of technical field post-secondary study.
The announcement implies that with immediate effect overseas experts with 2 years of technical field post-secondary study can apply for the B-1 work visas. They can apply based on their academic credentials and must fulfill other eligibility criterions. Earlier this category was open only for immigrant applicants who possessed a Bachelor’s degree, as quoted by the Lexology.
The changes to the B-1 work visas pool for applicants with academic qualifications will be effective immediately. This will impact overseas experts and employers applying for the visas on the basis of their academic credentials.
The changes announced for the B-1 work visas pool will simplify the process of application and accelerate continuous processing. This is because qualified applicants the several requirements as earlier for receiving the work visa.
As per the visa regime in Israel, overseas experts who are employed in jobs that require higher education are excluded from certain requirements for application. This includes offering bank deposit, having a local bank account, and submitting employment contract copy.
The subcategory has been broadened to include certain applicants with 2 years of post-secondary education. The Work Permit unit of the Ministry of Interior in Israel, however, clarified that it does possess the right for reclassification of applicants of work visa into other sub-divisions if it so considers being appropriate. The changes will broaden the applicant pool for the B-1 category simplifying the process for businesses to recruit these applicants.
