Piyush Goyal, the Indian commerce and industry minister, has said that quality education will be brought to India through dual degree program that is being made between Australia and India. The dual degree program will enhance collaboration between the universities of the two countries. The minister said that educational qualifications will be given mutual recognition as the degrees will be given jointly.
Piyush Goyal also said that “students of both the countries will get good exposure, experience, new knowledge, skillsets, etc. The dual degrees will give more exposure to Indian students, and the cost of education will also be reduced to half.”
The minister also said that the degrees and course content of both the countries will be recognized. Under this programme, students of both the countries will be allowed to study in India for one to two years and study in Australia for one to two years.
Dan Tehan, the Australian Minister for Trade, Tourism, and Investment, said that Australian and Indian students will get a chance to study in both the countries, and this will increase the collaboration between both the countries.
Tehan has also said that discussion regarding yoga classes has also between done. Yoga instructors from India will be invited to Australia to take up the yoga classes. Tehan said that yoga has many therapeutic benefits.
