Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Education Minister of India, on Monday, met Australian counterpart Jason Clare, and both countries signed an agreement to increase student and faculty exchange programs. At this time, the Minister said that the two countries have agreed to conduct more research in areas like minerals, logistics, agriculture, renewal energy, healthcare, water management, and artificial intelligence.
Australian counterpart Jason Clare said that there are more than 450 research partnerships between India and Australian institutions, and four more such agreements were signed on Monday in front of the two ministers.
They also discussed setting up two Australian Universities in GIFT City in Gandhinagar for Indian students who cannot afford to go to Australia for higher education.
Today, more than 1 lakh students from India are studying in Australia, and more than 400 tie-ups have been entered between Australian and Indian institutions.
In the end, they mentioned that there is so much work we can possibly do together in areas that are more important to both of us.
