Applications for the 2021 Graduate Development Program will be closing soon. Applications opened on March 23, 2020 and will be closing on April 24, 2020.
The selection process for Australia’s Graduate Development Program involves many stages. The program runs across many months. To be able to transition on to the next stage of the process, the candidate will have to be found suitable at each stage of the selection process.
In the 12-month duration of the Program, graduates selected for the program will gain hands-on experience at different workplace rotations within the Department of Home Affairs of Australia.
Following an orientation and induction program, a mentor will be assigned. Various graduate events will be held. Many internal and external events and activities will be held as well.
The date of commencement will be early February at the APS 4 classification.
After the successful completion of the Program, the graduate will be placed into an ongoing role.
Eligibility requirements for the Graduate Development Program include –
| Being a citizen of Australia. Or will be a citizen of Australia by April 24, 2020. |
| Being in the final year of degree or having completed a minimum of an Australian recognized postgraduate/undergraduate degree in last 5 years The candidate must be able to provide evidence of completion before the commencement of the Program. |
| Able to relocate to Canberra |
| Obtaining and maintaining an Employment Suitability Clearance |
| Obtaining and maintaining an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency Clearance |
