Visa applications would be processed faster in Dubai starting from August as its medical centres deploy a new electronic recording system.
Dubai Health Authority (DHA) customers are launching a new paperless system to expedite all their medical test processes from one centre or via one of the 40 printing centres approved by DHA.
This initiative is said to be a part of service and facility expansion plans of DHA to better the experience of customers and increasing their satisfaction ratings.
It is required by law that all expats residing in the UAE should undergo a medical fitness test, which includes X-rays and blood tests to complete visa applications for employment, residency or education.
The National quotes Maisa Al Bostani, director of the Medical Fitness Services Department at DHA, as saying that three main objectives will be implemented with the new system.
They will improve the journey of the customers, cut down their waiting times and provide all the services they require at one place.
Printing centres numbering 40 were approved by the DHA to finish the customers’ procedures electronically and in accordance with the requirements of the new system.
Al Bostani said that this was being carried out to see to it that the workflow would be smooth for customers looking to get their medical fitness test certificates even as the implementation of the system is being done in phases at medical fitness centres spread all over Dubai.
