Travel to Australia & Newzealand on a single visa

September 9, 2014

With Cricket World Cup 2015 just round the corner, the host countries, Australia and New Zealand, have decided to offer a single visa to the foreign spectators. The co-hosts have signed a pact to issue a 10 weeks visa for travel between Jan 26, 2015 and Apr 5, 2015.

The World Cup starts on the 14th of Feb, and ends on 29th of March, 2015. During this period, people with an Australia visa can obtain a 3 months New Zealand visa on arrival in the country. Australia temporary visa holders are also eligible to apply for the World Cup visa.http://www.y-axis.com/services/australia-visit-visa-sector/

The co-hosts of the World Cup 2015 are expecting a good footfall of travelers. Australia expects to issue at least 6000 to 7000 visas for Indians alone during the season. New Zealand is hoping to have 50,000 visitors on its turf for one of the world's most important sporting events. Grahame Morton, New Zealand's High Commissioner, said, "The country expects to host 50,000 foreign visitors during the World Cup, with Australia, England and India likely to supply the most."

People can travel back and forth between Australia and New Zealand during the period and watch their favorite players live in action. However, one should have a valid Australian visa and be eligible for a new visitor visa every time he/she comes back to New Zealand.
