The Sunshine Province, Alberta, energizes Tech Professionals by introducing a new immigration program!
Alberta expedites the new immigration process for which Express Entry Tech candidates are welcomed. The province is planning to introduce this fast-track process for tech workers across Canada and overseas.

On January 13, 2022, Tyler Shandro, Alberta's immigration minister, accelerated this program. From December 2021, the province has already started accepting articles for this program.

The Princess Province of Canada has registered 233 percentage growth from 2012 to 2021, says Alberta Technology Deal Flow Study. But they are facing challenges to fulfill the vacancies.
Procedure to apply for the Accelerated Tech Pathway

In order to apply for Alberta's Accelerated Tech Pathway, you need to submit the duly filled online form for the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP). The form includes all the information about your Express Entry profile and the tech jobs vacancies in Alberta.
To get eligible for this Tech Pathway, you need to have a valid job offer or should be working in an Alberta based organization.

The AINP checks your eligibility, and if you meet the minimum requirements for the Alberta Express Entry Stream, then you will receive an invitation through email. After receiving an invitation from AINP, you can apply for a provincial nomination.
*Note: You cannot apply to this without receiving the invitation and cannot apply under different streams.

After receiving the email invitation from Alberta, you have to determine your criteria (If any misrepresentation is observed, the province bans you from applying for five years).
The completely filled applications go into the pool of eligible forms, which are considered for provincial nominations. These applicants will have 30 days period to accept your online Express Entry profile.
Next, your CRS score will be added with an additional 600 points in your Express Entry score. This will not guarantee your permanent residency. Instead, your chances will be boosted to get selected in the pool.
You can apply to permanent residency after receiving ITA from Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) in the Express Entry draw.
