As per the QS World ranking 2018, the top five New Zealand universities are The University of Auckland, University of Otago, and University of Canterbury, Victoria University of Wellington and University of Waikato.

That apart, Indian students need to demonstrate that they are adequately proficient in English by getting a reasonable score in IELTS, iBT (Internet-based TOEFL), paper-based TOEFL, Advanced (CAE) or Proficiency (CPE) in English, Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic or Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB)
Students have to individually apply for each of the universities. The applications for the academic year 2018 will be accepted until November 2017.
