Overall, New Zealand has a strong deficiency of semi-skilled and skilled workers. This includes shortage in livable houses due to repair, maintenance and redevelopment needs. According to government websites, these skills are is need as the moment Builders, Carpenters, Joiners, Ceiling Fixers, Scaffolders, Chartered Accountants, Linesmen, Civil Site Managers, Road & Infrastructure Project Managers, Maintenance Engineers, Diesel Technicians, Cable Jointers - High Voltage, Oil & Gas, Structural Engineers, Construction vehicle mechanics and drivers, and Panel Beaters.
