How to prepare for the SAT exam thoroughly

It is most people’s dream to get a bachelor’s degree from countries that offering world-class education. In an attempt to fulfil this dream, students take the SAT.

This exam has multiple-choice questions (MCQs) which have to be answered in a pencil-and-paper format. Candidates who clear the SAT exam can get admitted to top colleges/universities in the world.

This test is used to assess how ready an individual who has passed a higher secondary school exam or Class XII exam is to enrol for a bachelor’s degree. The College Board, which created this test, administers it.

The SAT acts as an entrance exam to gain admission into educational institutions in Australia, Canada, the UK, and the US, among others.

When students apply to a college/university of their choice, admission officials there will evaluate their SAT scores together with the Grade Point Average (GPA) they secured in their qualifying exams, in addition to letters of recommendation (LORs). Then the students will be interviewed and depending on all on these factors, they will be granted admission.

The SAT exam lasts for 3 hours long and questions will be asked during that time on two sections. One of them is Math and the other is Evidence-based Reading and Writing.

Each section of the SAT exam is scored on a point scale ranging from 200 to 800. The maximum a student can score in this exam is 1600 points.

To get a high score on this exam, practice well. Take as many practice tests as possible to get used to the format and properly manage time.

Identify your strong points and drawbacks to know how much you can score realistically on the SAT test. Meanwhile, while preparing for the exam, devote more time to overcome your weaknesses.

Since the SAT exam does not have negative marking, do not spend too much time on questions which take up more of your time. Instead, move on to the questions to which you are sure about the answers. If and when you have time, you can come back to the ones you had doubt about and try answering them.
