You can follow the steps below to convert your Iceland work visa to permanent residency:

 Step 1: Check if you are eligible

Before you can apply for PR in Iceland, ensure you meet the above-listed eligibility requirements.

Step 2: Arrange the documents required for PR

You must arrange the documents required for the work visa conversion, which include your passport, proof of funds, a criminal clearance certificate, and medical insurance, among others.

Step 3: Apply online for permanent residence in Iceland

You can fill out the online application form (D-200 Permanent Residence Form) and upload the documents through the official Icelandic Directorate of Immigration's website.

Step 4: Complete the fee payment

You will be required to pay a standard Iceland PR application fee of 16,000 ISK (₹12,000).

Step 5: Await a decision on your PR application

Once your PR application is reviewed and approved, you will be issued an electronic residence card that grants you permanent residency in Iceland.
