Indra Nooyi:
Ms. Nooyi is the CEO and Chairman of PepsiCo. She is an Indo-origin US corporate leader born in Chennai, India. Indra Nooyi leads one of the largest beverage and convenient food companies in the world. Her name appeared in the list of 50 women to watch out by Wall Street Journal, as quoted by the Silicon India.
Indra Nooyi is responsible for the global strategic planning function of PepsiCo. This includes coordinating and developing business plans for the operating divisions of the company.
Preet Bharara:
Bharara is a US lawyer who was the Attorney for the Southern District of New York, the US from 2009 to 2017. He was born in Punjab, India and featured in the cover of Times magazine. This was for his crusade against corruption.
Preet Bharara thus became the first Indo-American to feature on the cover page of the influential Time magazine. He was also named as one of the 100 most influential people globally by the magazine in 2012.
Gurbax Singh Malhi PC:
Malhi was born in Chugha Kalan, India and is an Indo-Canadian politician from the Liberal Party of Canada. He first won elections in 1993 as the Bramalea—Gore—Malton Member of Parliament. He served as the MP in the House of Commons for 18 successive years representing this constituency.
Gurbax Singh received the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002. This was for his dedication and contributions to society in Canada. He was appointed for life-term to the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada by the then Prime Minister of Canada Paul Martin.
