UAE 10-years visa- 6800 expats shortlisted for Gold Card

Declaring 2019 as the Year of Tolerance, U.A.E. is set to establish itself as a global capital in tolerance. A respectful environment for communication between people of different cultures is the aim.The U.A.E. is proclaiming its rejection of extremism, and acceptance of “the other”.

 

In July 2019, Vijay Samyani joined the ranks of Indian businessmen who have got the 10-years visa. This visa is officially referred to as “the 10-year Gold Card residency scheme”.

 

The 10-years visa is for individuals, foreign investors, and businessmen that have “exceptional talents and skills”. This visa was announced by the U.A.E. government on June 25, 2019, and would be granted provided they meet certain requirements.

 

Along with businessmen, this long-term visa can also be availed by Executives that have AED30,000 monthly salary or above.

 

Long-term visa holders are exempt from the rule forbidding residents from staying outside the U.A.E. for six months at a time. Gold Card visa holders can stay outside U.A.E. for as long as they desire.

 

Vijay Samyani, the Chairman of Concept Brands Group, has been living in the U.A.E. for nearly 30 years. Samyani, an entrepreneur, has earlier held positions in the senior management in the lifestyle and luxury industry, as quoted by the MENAFN.

 

As part of the 10-year Gold Card residency scheme, the U.A.E. Government has identified the initial 6800 expats. These expats hail from 70 different countries.

 

The 10-year Gold Card would have to be renewed after every 10 years. Benefits from this permanent residency scheme will also apply to the children and spouse of the cardholder.
