Federal Tourism Agency of Russia is mooting mutual visa-free group travels with India, Vietnam and Iran, Oleg Safonov, head of the agency, was quoted as saying in an interview to news agency TASS.
As of now, Russia has visa-free group travel arrangement with China, said Safonov.
He said that they would offer using a similar mechanism, which Russia had with China, in their joint operations with India and Iran. Safonov said that the same mechanism would be extended to Vietnam.
Safonov was effusive about the efficacy of such an agreement with China. He said that it was a very good mechanism.
China and Russia inked a bilateral agreement on visa-free tourist exchange within organised groups of tourists through travel agencies in 2000.
