The Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) has announced that foreigners travelling to Russia will have to submit their detailed travel plans along with the visa application form.
All travellers are required to submit complete details of their travel: cities and towns they expect to visit, visa sponsors' details, and address of migration service office they plan to register with once in Russia.
Federal Migration Service said that foreigners from all countries irrespective of their visa type will have to follow the new rules.
However, the tour operators are unhappy with the latest development in the visa rules. Such rules could reduce the foreigner footfall to the country because most tourists plan or modify their itinerary depending up on their duration of stay and other factors involved.
