The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) invited 173 candidates in the latest draw on 18th July.
The invitations issued by the MPNP are called Letter of Advice to Apply.
Here is a breakdown of the LAAs issued in the 18th July draw:
29 invitations out of the 173 were issued to EE candidates who had a valid profile in the EE pool.
Express Entry candidates greatly benefit from a provincial nomination. A provincial nomination adds 600 points to their CRS Score which in turn guarantees an ITA for Canadian Permanent Residence.
40 LAAs were issued under the Skilled Workers Overseas category in the 18th July draw. These invitations were issued under the Manitoba Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
To apply for a Manitoba Provincial Nomination, you need to submit a separate Expression of Interest. Based on factors like education, work experience, connection to Manitoba etc., each profile is given a score based on the Manitoba points grid. Highest scoring candidates are invited in regular draws conducted by the province, as per CIC News.
Here is the minimum score in the 18th July MPNP draw:
Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 539
Skilled Workers Overseas (Strategic Recruitment Initiative): 718
Including the latest draw, Manitoba has issued 5,506 invitations so far in 2019.
