Canada is all set to break the 2017 PR Visa record with the latest Express Entry draw that offered 3,900 ITAs for PR. In the year 2017 a total of 86, 023 PR ITAs were offered.
The latest draw held on 28 November offered 3,900 Invitations to Apply for Canada PR. This brings the total for 2018 to 82,000. The minimum CRS of 445 was a decrease of 4 points over the previous draw. The earlier November 15 draw had minimum CRS of 449, as quoted by the CIC News.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada is just 4,024 ITAs away from the 2017 PR Visa record. There is still one more month remaining in 2018.
IRCC holds 2 Express Entry rounds every month. It has offered 3,900 ITAs in 6 of all the past 7 all program draws after 5 September. If this trend is continued in December, IRCC will exceed its 2017 record of 86, 023 ITAs.
The tie-break rule was opted by IRCC even in the latest draw. The time and date were 14:40:13 UTC and 22 October 2018. It implies that all applicants whose score in CRS was more than 445 obtained the invites. Along with them, the candidates who scored 445 and lodged their profiles prior to the precise time and date received the ITAs.
The draw held on 28 November was within a gap of 2 weeks after the 15 November draw. This is likely to have resulted in lowering the minimum CRS by 4 points.
Qualified candidates are offered score under the CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System). This determines their position in the pool of Express Entry. A specified number of highest-ranked candidates are offered ITAs through regular draws.
