The trending jobs in the UK for 2020 changed after the outbreak of COVID-19 which has in fact reshaped the job outlook for many countries in the world.
Prior to the pandemic, the sector with the largest job outlook was wholesale and retail trade with an estimated 4.97 million jobs, the next largest sector was healthcare and social work with 4.48 million jobs in March 2020.
Four months after the pandemic began in March, the sector showing the highest increase in the number of jobs is the healthcare sector. Other trending jobs are in the areas of information technology, sales, data analytics, law etc. Based on the changed job outlook due to the pandemic, here are the trending jobs in the UK for 2020.
1. Medical technologists
The duty of medical technologists is to maintain and operate medical equipment used to perform complex scientific tests on blood and other body fluids.
