Do you want to study in the UK for free?

The UK has countless educational institutes and almost each one of them has opportunities for international students. The UK boasts of some of the most respectable names in the field of education. Students who want to study in the UK for free may apply for the 2019 Commonwealth Scholarships. The scholarships are available for students pursuing Masters and PhD programs in the UK. The courses will start from September or October next year.

The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission, UK offers these scholarships. It is available only to students from low and middle-income countries. It is only available to Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships and Commonwealth PhD Scholarships.

Indian students need to apply for this scholarship through the portal of the Ministry of HRD. Prospective students need to submit the application by 10^th January 2019, as per Yahoo Finance.

Indian students can also apply through the CSC’s Electronic Application System. Applications through the EAS have to be submitted by the 19^th of December 2018.

52 scholarships would be awarded, out of which 13 are for PhD students. The requirements of the scholarships are listed on the official website of the CSC.

Here are eligibility criteria for prospective students:

1. You must receive an offer of admission from a University in the UK
2. The University must be registered with the CSC

Students would need to upload a copy of the admission letter at the time of submitting the application online. The system would create a list of students along with their Universities subject or them- wise.

In case the UK receives more applications than the number of nominations, then the QS Ranking 2019 would be considered to create the merit list.
