The USCIS has announced that H1B Visa petitioners can now create an online account. The type of account would differ depending on the role of the applicant.
The US has moved to a new registration system for H1B Visas for FY2021. Representatives would be able to use the same representative accounts and can use an already existing account.
If you are a prospective employer and would like to submit your H1B petition, you would need to use a new registrant account. You would be able to create new registrant accounts from 24th February 2020.
Representatives can add several clients to their accounts at any time. However, both representatives and registrants would be able to enter H1B beneficiary details only after 1st March. There would be a registration fee of $10 for every H1B beneficiary.
The registration period would last from noon EST on 1st March to noon EST on 20th March 2020. Petitioners would be able to create and register accounts through this entire registration period. The selections would begin after the registration period ends on 20th March. Hence, there is no rush to register on 1st March itself.
The USCIS would randomly select registrations and notify the petitioners through their online account after 31st March 2020.
In December 2019, the US announced the launch of a pilot registration system. The US has now implemented the new registration system for H1B Visa petitions for FY2021.
