ELIGIBILITY ASSESSMENT FOR EXPRESS ENTRY
The first step for any prospective immigrant to Canada is to assess the eligibility for requirements of the Canadian Express entry. This will involve assessment of educational credentials, age, language skills, professional credentials, the presence of relatives or family members in Canada and a job offer in Canada.
In case you are eligible, you must create a profile in the Express entry system that will be evaluated by the IRCC. You will be then included in the pool of Express entry and awarded points under CRS, as quoted by the Candim.
COMPREHENSIVE RANKING SYSTEM
Human Capital and Skill Transferability factors of the applicant and partner are assessed through the Comprehensive Ranking System. Applicants of Canadian Express entry are then offered points out of a score of 600. 600 extra points are also available for Canadian education, a family member with Canada PR, French language proficiency, a job offer in Canada or nomination from a province.
Every Canadian Express entry has a minimum threshold of CRS scores. Applicants with equal or more points than the minimum CRS scores are offered the ITA for Canada PR.
JOB OFFER FROM A CANADIAN EMPLOYER
The absence of a job offer from a Canadian employer does not disqualify the applicant’s Canadian Express entry profile. But having a job offer does qualify the applicants for extra CRS points. Some of the Skilled Worker programs do specify having a job offer in Canada and these programs cannot be applied for by the applicants without the job offer.
VALIDITY OF EXPRESS ENTRY PROFILE
The validity of the Canadian Express entry is for one year. After completion of one year, applicants are required to satisfy applicable requirements for eligibility and re-apply into the Express entry pool.
