BC PNP invites applicants in tech jobs for Canada PR via PN

Invites for Canada PR via Provincial Nomination have been offered by the Provincial Nominee Program British Columbia in a tech pilot draw. The draw was held on 4 July and 25 candidates were offered the invitation to apply.

Candidates who fulfilled the requirements of the Tech Pilot PNP BC were offered the invitations. The tech pilot was recently upgraded by the PNP BC. It has revised the list for key technology occupations. The requirements for a job offer for candidates in these occupations were also modified, as quoted by the CIC News.

Candidates in 29 occupations now need a full-time job offer of minimum 1 year as per the latest updates to the tech pilot. Earlier, an indeterminate permanent job offer was required.

Candidates who receive invites for Canada PR via PNP BC streams aligned with Express entry receive 600 extra CRS points. This is when their application for provincial nomination is successful. The streams include EEBC Overseas Graduate and Skilled Worker EEBS streams.

Skilled immigration applicants for Canada PR via successful provincial nomination will have separate processing of their PR applications. This will be outside the federal Express Entry system.

Individuals aspiring to immigrate to Canada through PNP BC must first submit a profile online. This is with the SIRS Skills Immigration Registration System of PNP BC. They must complete all the sections of the form. Applicants will receive a scorecard once their profile is assessed. It will be based on factors such as work experience, education age, and others.
