Australia-India research projects receive $5.2 million in grants

Abstract: The government of Australia has declared a 5.2 million AUD grant for a joint initiative in science and technology by Australia and India.

  • The Australian government has granted approximately 5.2 million AUD for a joint initiative by Australia and India

  • 6 out of 80 projects were selected

Recently, Australia announced a $5.2 million grant for an Australia-India joint initiative. Six projects were chosen in Round 14 out of the 80 projects submitted in Australia-India Strategic Research Fund.

Projects under Australia-India Strategic Research Fund

The projects under the AISRF or Australia-India Strategic Research Fund are:

  • Reduction in the cases of preventable blindness
  • Economic water quality management
  • Research on the structural dynamics of SARS-COV-2
  • Quantum technologies
  • Essential minerals
  • Prevention and control of infection
