The new all-program Express Entry draw issued 1,750 invitations to apply for permanent residence in Canada. The minimum CRS score for this draw is 542 which is 15 points less than the previous draw. It is the 16th Express Entry draw in 2022 and overall it is 227th draw.
In 2022, Canada has plans to invite 55,900 candidates through Express Entry. By 2024, the target will rise to 111,500. There are no specifications about the streams under which the candidates will be invited.
This is the second all-program Express Entry draw in 2022. Before the resumption of all-program draws, IRCC invited Candidates through Canada Experience Class and Provincial Nominee Program.
In the all-program draw, only the CRS score was considered to issue invitations to apply. None of the Express Entry streams were considered. Between January 2021 and September 2021, IRCC issued invitations through the only CEC and PNP. After September 2021, invitations through CEC were stopped due to the processing time which was six months.
Now IRCC started the all-program draws but changes can be expected after the implementation of Bill C-19 in 2023. After the implementation of this bill, IRCC will be able to hold targeted draws through which candidates will be invited on the basis of economic goals.
IRCC will be able to invite candidates through different factors like education, occupation, language ability, and other factors.
The previous Express Entry draw was held on July 6, 2022 in which 1,500 invitations to apply were issued. The minimum CRS score for this draw was 557.
