International Students can now work 2 more years after graduating in Australia
Australia plans to implement new rules to extend the duration to work in Australia after graduating to attract more foreign students.
Students who have completed Bachelor’s degree will be able to work for four years, whereas master's students can work for five years and Ph.D. students will be able to work for six years.
Around 16% of international students stay back to work in Australia.
To encourage foreign students to work for a longer time in Australia once they graduate, the federal government planning to extend the number of hours.
