Under the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), Section 203(c), the United States has made provision for the induction of a certain class of immigrants from countries that have a comparatively low rate of immigration to the U.S.

What communication can I expect from the U.S. Government?
You will never receive a notification email or notification letter from the U.S. Government intimating your selection for the DV program.
The only email that DV applicants can expect from the U.S. government is asking them to check the online status via the DV Entrant Status Check.
When do I have to pay the fees?
The fees will have to be paid directly at your scheduled appointment, either to the U.S. Embassy or to the cashier at the Consulate.
Always remember that the U.S. government will never ask for any advance amount to be paid by wire transfer, check, or a money order.
